M-Kyala Gender Lens Investing Masterclass Application

Gender lens investing has grown significantly over the past decade. Alongside that growth has come a growing collection of standards, frameworks, scorecards, toolkits and reporting approaches. Yet, many investors, ESOs, foundations and development agencies continue to face the same question: How do we actually integrate gender into our day-to-day work in a way that is practical, measurable and aligned with our objectives?

This masterclass is designed to help answer that question.

Drawing on M-Kyala Ventures' experience supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems, advising organisations, conducting research and deploying capital to women-led enterprises across East Africa, the programme offers a practical approach to African gender lens investing.

Over a full day, participants will explore how gender influences investment, entrepreneurship support and programme design, and how organisations can move from good intentions to clear and actionable practice.

Masterclass details: Date: October 22, 2026 Location: this is an in-person event taking place in Nairobi, Kenya. Further details will be shared with selected applicants closer to the date of the masterclass. Pricing:
Investor, INGOs, International Development organisations category:
• Early bird rates( up to 15th September 2026):- $900 per team member, $1600 for teams of two
• Full rate:- $1000 per team member, $1750 for teams of two
Local Entrepreneurial Support Organisations, local agencies category:
• Early bird rates (up to 15th September 2026:- $400 USD per team member, $850 for a team of two
• Full rate:- $500 per team member, $900 for a team of two
Due to the limited number of slots, please note that successful participation will be subject to a selective vetting process. Future iterations of this masterclass will include virtual classes as well as sessions held in other African cities.
