Business Development Representatives (BDRs)

We were founded in 2019, and are 100% bootstrapped. Our customers are our investors. Till date, every client of ours has come to us by word of mouth or a referral. We’re proud of the work we have done in order to achieve that. But, we also feel that our work should be made known to more people. This is where you come in.

We're looking for (1 or 2) freelance Business Development Representative(s) to help support our users worldwide. We aim to build a high-performance culture and want teammates who can join our organisation and not just fit in, but add to us.

This is a part-time (with the possibility of going full-time), fully remote position, and we‘re hiring globally, but we give preference to candidates based in North America (🇨🇦 CA & 🇺🇸 US). You will be paid $USD 50/hr and earn commission on every customer we onboard successfully

Things to know

We’re an extremely small and agile team currently distributed across Canada and India. We tend to move fast, but also intentionally have slow days. As a result:
- Because we’re distributed, something is always happening internally. You can expect to be CC’d on an email chain at ridiculously odd hours—but you are neither expected nor required to participate outside of your available hours - We do not expect you to work all the time, but we do ask that you commit a set number of hours per week to focus on growing the company - You will be directly responsible for the growth of the company: therefore, we want you to own it. You’ll be owning the success, or failure, that comes with your choices

About the role

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will report directly to, and are expected to meet with the CEO weekly. Your primary responsibility will be to further the reach of our business by whatever means necessary.
- You will create opportunities through outbound channels like cold calling and email prospective clients - Engage with prospects and clients to understand business and organisation challenges and struggles - Conduct thorough research on our competitors, prospective leads, as well as keep up with market trends - Collaborate with the CEO to develop a list of target prospects - Ensure you keep up with your weekly, quarterly and annual quotas and keep the CEO in constant loop about your discoveries and findings - Maintain an annual book of business

About you

- Extremely strong communication (listening, speaking & writing) skills: because we work async and remote, and because you’ll be the first point of contact to prospect clients, you should be a phenomenal listener, speaker, and writer - A great sense of direction and prioritisation when it comes to dealing with the ambiguity of an early stage startup - Business development experience within the enterprise and commercial segment, particularly handling prospects from AMER (and EMEA) markets - We value the depth and quality of your experience, over counting years. That said, successful applicants typically have 10-15 years of experience overall, or at least 5-7 years working as a BDR for Fortune 1000/500/100 companies, or at least 2 years of experience working at a hyper-growth startup
In short, you are someone who is cool, calm, and collected at all times, and someone who has a proven track record of success.

Benefits

- Work your own hours, completely async and fully remote - Earn 15% commission on every client we onboard successfully
