MARS 2.0 Application

The MARS program connects promising researchers with experienced mentors to pursue AI safety projects. Running from January 13 to April 15th, 2025, the program combines an intensive week in Cambridge with remote research work.

Ideal applicants are: - Current students or professionals, especially those interested in cybersecurity and/or hardware engineering
- Based in the UK/Europe
- Able to commit ~8 hours per week to research - Motivated to contribute to AI safety research - (For individuals applying to the Technical Track): Background in machine learning or coding.

The application deadline to submit this form is November 24th. Upon submitting this form, you might be invited for a further coding test, written assignment or interview.

After this, mentors will select and invite applicants for further interviews or tests on a rolling basis. (Stage II.) Final decisions will be made December 13th.

Travel support of up to £100 is available for participants, we may be able to provide more in exceptional circumstances.
