Short-term Leave: For short-term leave of up to 5 days, employees should submit their leave application at least TWO weeks in advance.
Long-term Leave: For long-term leave exceeding 5 days, employees should submit their leave application at least ONE month in advance.
We generally discourage annual leave during all NSW school holiday, special festival such as Mother's Day and Christmas period. This will ensure our establishment continuity and quality of service;
Applications for leave during these periods should be understood to have a lower likelihood of approval unless there are exceptional circumstances.
All leave applications must be approved by venue manager / kitchen manager, and then approved by General Manager & Group Head Chef. Senior staff will require director's approval;
Managers will consider various factors when approving leave, including but not limited to the employee's performance, the current workload in the department, and the leave arrangements of other employees during the same period;
Employees must submit leave applications through this form, detailing the start and end dates of the leave;
Managers should respond to applications within a week of receipt to allow employees to make necessary arrangements.
For emergency leave, employees should inform their manager as soon as possible and provide as detailed an explanation as possible. Approval for such leave will be handled flexibly based on the specific situation.
Employees should ensure that all urgent and important work tasks are completed before taking leave, or coordinate with colleagues for a smooth handover of work. In case of a venue manager, kitchen manager and all levels up, will require a nominated responsible manager to be the point of contact.
