Investigation into insurance costs and alternative insurance models for Australian music festivals

In response to the ongoing challenge of rising insurance costs in the live entertainment sector, FEAT . is investigating alternative insurance models for managing the risks faced by the festival sector, which are being exacerbated by a warming climate.

Throughout September and October 2024 the FEAT. team will be conducting a study to better understand the drivers of increasing liability costs, by analysing the current and historical insurance policies purchased by Australian music festivals.

These findings will inform an analysis into the costs and viability of alternative risk-management models for the sector, such as mutuals.
