Cambridge Wildlife Arts, a group established in 2012, has many kinds of animals and a few plants of our local ecosystem that you can wear or carry during the parade—as costumes, giant puppets worn on backpacks, butterfly puppets and flags on poles (1 person can carry those), local wildflower hats, and banners on poles (2 people carry those), and hand-carried banners (also for 2 people). We invite the community in Cambridge and surrounding cities to march with us. We love intergenerational groups, so come with your aunties and uncles and grandparents to march, bike, or scooter, representing the wildlife of our cities!
As of October 10 (afternoon), rain is forecast on Sunday afternoon, for 3:00 p.m. However, when we plan to gather, and during the parade, there is a 15–20 % chance of rain. At this time, we plan to go ahead with marching, and the parade organizers have left it up to groups whether to continue. Signing up helps us inform you of any changes due to the weather. We are tracking it!
Yes, I'll meet Cambridge Wildlife at the corner of Day and Herbert Streets, Davis Square, in Somerville at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025. (Please note: The parade begins moving at 12:00, but to get lined up with one of our costumes and puppets of LOCAL species, please come at 11:00. We are the 10th group in the parade lineup this year!
