I'm
Nick, a passionate road cyclist living in Leeds, Yorkshire. I'm also a self-employed software engineer building a new cycling hazard awareness web application and I need your help answering a few questions. Your feedback means a lot to me, so thank you in advance for filling out this survey. It should only take a minute or so to complete.
Please note that these questions revolve around road cycling only. If that's not your thing, feel free to skip the survey.
Hazard in this instance means something stationary you might come across like ice, road works, pot holes, gravel in the road, unusually poor road surface etc. Not moving things like cars, animals or other human beings.
Imagine a map-based interface where you can upload a prospective route to check for hazards. You can also confirm the presence of hazards reported by others if you happen to have recently encountered them, and you can drag the map around to find a location to report a new hazard to make other cyclists aware of.
If you'd like to help shape the development of the application, or wouldn't mind receiving a more detailed survey at a later date, please feel free to leave your email address below. This is completely optional and I will only use it to contact you very infrequently about this project.
