I know that the health of my community hinges on the health of our democracy and that robust civic participation is required to advance health and racial equity. I understand that the first step in promoting a healthy thriving democracy starts with me. I join with my colleagues and institutions across the health sector to assert: We Will Vote. The actions I will take:

Voting is just a start in the many civic engagement activities needed to provide impactful individual and community health outcomes. Remaining engaged by following local news, learning about the pivotal roles local officials like Sheriffs, District Attorneys, Judges, Mayors, School Boards, and City Council play, and participating in the decennial census is critical for the health and wellbeing of my community.
