We’re trusted by industry leaders such as Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, Kajabi, JG Wentworth, Abridge, Cortex, and hundreds more.

Our mission is ambitious and we can’t do it alone - join Abacum as we build the future of Business Planning!

About the role

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Director to lead the product narrative, growth content strategy, and go-to-market execution at Abacum. This is a senior, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of product, marketing, sales, and partnerships. You’ll define and drive the strategic positioning of our platform, ensure strong product adoption and revenue impact, and lead the storytelling that fuels demand, conversion, and category leadership.

You’ll own four core pillars:

1. Organic Growth & Content Strategy
2. Core Product Marketing & Enablement
3. Sales Enablement & Support
4. Design Enablement & Creative Direction

This is a hands-on, high-impact role with visibility across the executive team, working closely with the co-founder and CEO. You’ll shape how the world sees Abacum—and how we grow.

What You'll Own
1. Core Product Marketing & GTM Execution
- Lead product positioning and messaging across use cases and themes (what we call Umbrella Topics), personas, and verticals. Continuously evolve and refine our ICP and value props.
- Build and scale go-to-market plans for product launches in collaboration with Product, Design, CS, and Sales.
- Drive competitive intelligence, with full ownership over battlecards. Tracking feature releases and go-to-market motions from key players—translating them into actionable insights for Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Leadership.
2. Organic Growth & Thought Leadership
- Define granularly the content and campaign architecture: umbrella topics, themes, and narratives that power paid media, SEO, social, website, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Shape the organic content strategy to drive awareness, traffic, and conversion across key buyer personas.
- Create and contribute to thought leadership creation, including blogposts, website content and GTM plays.
3. Sales and Partner Enablement & Support
- Equip AEs, Partner Managers and BDRs with cadence content, messaging frameworks, value narratives, objection-handling guides, and persona-based storytelling.
- Create and deliver ad-hoc training sessions that are actionable and trackable across GTM teams.
- Develop assets to support outbound motions tied to product launches and campaigns.
- Conduct win/loss analysis and performance to refine messaging, improve sales and partner conversations, and identify gaps in enablement or product functionality.
4. Creative Enablement & Design Collaboration
- Partner with our Design and Brand team to define creative direction, asset needs, and campaign visuals.
- Provide content inputs and structure for marketing and product collateral (e.g., landing pages, videos, demos, one-pagers).
What You’ll Support (But Not Own)
You'll closely collaborate with external specialists and internal stakeholders on:
- Newsletters and lifecycle comms
- Events and webinars
- Strategic video production
- Gartner and market research analysis
- Founders' social thought leadership (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Deep-dive ICP and messaging sprints
What You Bring
- 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 4 years in product marketing and 2+ years in a people management or strategic role.
- Experience in B2B SaaS—ideally with a deep understanding of the FP&A Space.
- You’re both strategic and hands-on: equally comfortable setting the GTM narrative and jumping in to write a landing page or sales deck.
- You are a doer, have a bias for action and are obsessed with details.
- You are very curious, and love learning in depth all about a new persona, a new product and a new market - and end up knowing it better than everyone else in the company.
- Excellent writing and communication skills—you translate complexity into crisp, customer-first messaging.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across Product, Sales, Design, and Customer teams.
- Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Notion, Figma, Webflow, Lusha, and Apollo for building content and workflows.
