Working Student-Mechanical Engineering: Cargo Drone Design, Prototyping & Testing (all genders)

Part-Time · Munich, Onsite
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Working Student to support our development team bringing next-gen UAV concepts to life - from early CAD design to flight-ready prototypes. You'll gain hands-on experience across design, assembly, and testing of full-scale cargo drones.

YOUR MISSION/RESPONSIBILITIES

-Support mechanical and structural design in OnShape
-Assist in prototyping, 3D-printing and mechanical assembly of UAV components
-Contribute to integration and testing of propulsion, flight control, and avionics systems
-Prepare and conduct prototype (flight-)test campaigns, together with the engineering team
-Collaborate across disciplines (aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and systems engineering)

YOUR PROFILE

-Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

-Proficient in CAD software (OnShape, Solidworks, or similar)

-Familiarity with FEM or CDF tools is a plus

-Experience with prototyping and 3D-printing

-Hands-on experience with UAVs, RC aircraft or aerospace related student projects is a plus

-Maker mindset - comfortable in shopfloors, soldering, assembling, and testing -Organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment -Strong communication skills, and fluency in English (German or other languages are a plus)
