Cellular models for infectious diseases

Dear colleagues,

this survey is for all experts working on infectious diseases research, either in the academic or non-academic sector, and it is developed within the European project REPO4EU, the Euro-Global Platform for Mechanism-Based Drug Repurposing.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need of research preparedness for infectious outbreaks. One of the most critical factors in infectious disease research is the choice of a suitable cellular model. Within REPO4EU we aim to support the scientific community with a platform providing reference cellular models suitable for infectious disease research.

Specifically, through the REPO4EU platform, the researcher will be guided through the decision of which cellular model is most suitable for the pathogen of study and for experimental application, with an initial focus on viral infectious diseases. The guidance on the selection of cellular models will be based on criteria which are defined a-priori.

As expert in the field of infectious diseases research, your participation to this survey will be important to help us defining the reference cellular models and corresponding selection criteria.

The survey will take about 10 minutes and we're looking forward to your feedback!
