Apply for Pathfinder Fall '25!

Pathfinder is a selective fellowship for students organizing technical AI safety or AI policy university groups around the world. We provide mentorship, funding, and other resources to help fellows develop into on-campus leaders, preparing themselves and their group members for careers in the field.

Applications close July 27

Organizers who have received mentorship through FSP in the past and don't think they would benefit from additional mentorship can apply for Pathfinder Support Grants instead —a direct funding route without the fellowship components.

Before you apply
We expect that this application will take about an hour in total to complete, and please plan to spend no longer than 1 hour 30 minutes.
There are three sections to the application.
1. Introduction questions 2. Free response questions 3. Recording yourself answering one short question
Before starting your recording, please make sure that you are in a location with suitable internet connection and minimal background noise.
Note that each organizer from your university who would like to take part in Pathfinder will need to complete this form individually. Generally, we recommend that all main organizers of the group apply!
After you apply
After you complete this form, a member of our team will review your answers, and possibly schedule a follow-up call if necessary (most decisions are made without one).
You should hear back with us with a decision by August 1st that you'll need to confirm by August 6th.
