Thanks for your interest in being part of the early draft community as I write this book 'with the garage door (partially) open." I'm writing about the psychological experience of moving from IC to management and leadership roles—what I call
the Leadership Dip—and I want to ensure I gather diverse experiences and feedback beyond my own bubble.
The community will consist of at least two layers to give input, feedback and to share with each other. The core is a small, trusted, hand-picked group to give feedback on very early first drafts and outline. The second layer is a broader, private community to give feedback and input on subsequent drafts. At a later stage, I may open it up to a broader public community.
It's important to me that everyone involved recognises the fragile nature of this process. While I have done a lot of inner work and self-reflection over the years, I will make mistakes. I may unintentionally exclude, ignore, be biased, or even offend. The ethos of writing in this open manner is to correct those mistakes early on, rather than find out after publication. That said, it's not a crowd-sourced book and I'll not be able to please everyone.
