Rarible New Media Residency Open Call

We’re excited to introduce the Rarible New Media Residency — our take on the traditional art residency, with a focus on interactivity and collectibility.

Residency & Exhibition

Four artists will be selected via Open Call to join the residency. Their final works will be exhibited in the Rarible booth at NFC Summit 2025 (June 4–6, 2025), in Lisbon, Portugal.

To bring this vision to life, we’ve partnered with three experts in ComfyUI and TouchDesigner: Dot Simulate, Spencer Sterling & Machine delusions.

They’ll lead live online sessions to help artists build and deploy interactive artworks using real-time input. Finished works will be showcased by Rarible on a 3x2 LED wall, equipped with a webcam to capture interaction via MediaPipe.

The jury includes V.Ruins, Max Pretends & Serc. Whether you’re an experienced creator or new to interactive art — we want to hear from you.

This opportunity is open to all artists exploring—or eager to explore—interactive digital art. No prior experience required. Just submit a concept that uses interactive video or audio elements.

Travel to Lisbon: IRL Residency opportunity (read carefully)

There may be funding available to support your travel and accomodation expenses. Our judges and sponsors Max Pretends and Serc will help cover travel and housing for selected artists. You must be available to travel to Lisbon between June 3–7, 2025.

We cannot guarantee that all your travel expenses will be covered – while there is a travel budget, it is limited. In some cases, if the artists agree, shared accommodations may keep overall costs more manageable.

If the event dates conflict with your existing commitments and you choose to participate remotely, this could free up budget resources for other artists who wish to attend in person but have very limited funding. We kindly ask for your understanding and consideration.
