1. Participate positively in the subreddit, displaying good conduct.
2. Keep a level head at all times.
3. Avoid being biased/predisposed toward or against any race/religion/sex/gender/etc.
4. Maintain a healthy and fun atmosphere in the chess Reddit community - including but not limited to subreddits such as
r/chess and
r/anarchychess.
5. De-escalate situations on
r/chesscom that may result in inappropriate eventualities (such as so-called "witch-hunts" or swarms of hate) by utilizing moderation features.
6. Stay in contact with staff members to give community feedback and report any instances that might need intervention.
7. Be helpful, showing care and consideration to our wonderful community.
If you find yourself regularly helping around and engaging in the subreddit, and if you consider yourself in good standing with other users/staff, you could be the person we're looking for! For best results, we ask that you have a respected account that is over a year old in both Chess.com and Reddit. Your post history will be checked - We're not looking for perfection, just making sure you don't have a history of abuse or of breaking Terms Of Service in either websites!
