FREE ENGLISH TEST

Answer the following questions. Each question has one correct answer worth one point. After completing the questions, you will be shown your score. You can use your score to understand your English level by comparing your score to the following list.
The test has been specifically designed to be challenging and you may receive a result that is slightly lower than your actual level. It's possible that the result you receive reflects only a few simple errors or the lack of a few grammar rules.

-> 0 - 3 points: ELEMENTARY (A1) Understanding and use of simple phrases and everyday expressions.
-> 4 - 8 points: PRE-INTERMEDIATE (A2) Ability to communicate about familiar topics with common language in simple situations.
-> 9 - 18 points: INTERMEDIATE (B1) Understanding and producing simple and clear texts on familiar subjects.
-> 19 - 25 points: UPPER-INTERMEDIATE (B2) Ability to understand complex texts and communicate effectively.
-> 26 - 29 points: ADVANCED (C1) Understanding long and more complex texts and communicating clear and well-structured texts and ideas.
-> 30+ points: ADVANCED/PROFICIENT (C1 / C2) Ability to use English fluently and accurately, even in more complex situations about unfamiliar topics.

Disclaimer: This is not a standardized English proficiency test. Your result is not an official declaration or certification of your level as this test does not examine all four language skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and only evaluates your grammar knowledge.
