Ask a Trans Friend!

Hey, friends! This is Robin from That Trans Friend You Didn't Know You Needed on Substack. You've got questions, and I've got answers, and this form allows us to communicate anonymously (if that's what you need).

What is this form for?

You can use this form to ask a question about...
- coming out to your friends, family, or coworkers
- learning and using different pronouns
- the joys of raising a trans child
- understanding how politics impact trans lives
- general or specific questions about the physical or emotional aspects of transition (including things like hormone replacement therapy, gender affirming surgery, “passing” or “being stealth”)

You can also ask about...

- writing long-form posts on substack
- gardening and growing food
- building community in online spaces
- anything else that strikes your fancy!

You can even use this form to ask me more personal questions about my own journey as a trans person.

Worried your question might be too personal or invasive? Go ahead and ask anyway. If I'm not comfortable answering, I won't.
You're welcome to include a name and/or an email address here so that I can send you an email response, too. If your question seems like something the rest of the community might benefit from, I'll include it in a post along with my response. So... be brave. Take a tiny risk. Ask.
[A note: as a trans man who is also nonbinary (third gender) I am not equipped to respond to questions about trans women or trans femme people, bodies, feelings, etc. As a white person who is (mostly) able bodied, I also cannot speak to the experiences of QTBIPOC trans folx, disabled folx, or chronically ill folx. But if you ask something I don't know, I will endeavor to point you in the right direction to get answers.]

Your name (this is optional and will never be published)
