9th Balashram Trek: Odisha, India 23 to 30 November 2025

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 9th Balashram Trek, a fundraising event to benefit the Hariharananda Balashram Residential School. This special event will take place in Odisha, India from Sunday, 23rd November 2025 to Sunday, 30th November 2025.

We are honoured that Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnanananda will be joining us on this journey. We shall visit both Balashram School and Hariharananda Gurukulam (Balighai Ashram).

The event will begin in Visakhapatnam and conclude at Balighai Ashram. We shall explore the stunning natural beauty of Odisha and connect with local tribal communities. Our accommodations will include a mix of hotel stays, camping, and overnight train travel.

The 9th Balashram Trek is organised by Kriya Yoga UK with Heritage Tours Orissa. 100% of your sponsorship monies will go to supporting the children of Hariharananda Balashram Residential School. The school cares for 551 children, many of whom come from extreme poverty and have lost one or both parents. Previous Balashram Treks have played a vital role in providing these children with the care and education they deserve.

We invite you to join this special event in Odisha while helping to support the children of Balashram. Places are limited. The cost is approximately £640 (excluding flights) plus £1500 minimum in sponsorship.
