ARCHIVES & ULL Fletcher Hall Gallery Presents: Next Phase

Project Overview
NEXT PHASE is a hybrid program that combines hands-on workshops with a group exhibition. Hosted by ARCHIVES in collaboration with ULL Fletcher Hall Gallery, Next Phase is designed for emerging to mid-career artists who are ready expand their practice beyond traditional formats. This program requires artists to enter with a body of work that is complete or nearly complete. Artists interested in participating should fill out this application by Monday July 21st.

Thursday July 24th 5:30pm-7:00pm: Orientation @ Fletcher Hall Gallery

Thursday July 31st 5:30pm-7:00pm: Workshop @ TBD

Thursday August 7th 5:30pm-7:00pm: Workshop @ Fletcher Hall Gallery

Thursday August 14th 5:30pm-7:00pm: Workshop @ Fletcher Hall Gallery

Week of August 18th: Exhibition Installtion Begins @ Fletcher Hall Gallery

Over the course of the program, artists will expand and transform that work through:
One-on-one mentorship
Public workshops and lectures
Collaborative experimentation
Artists are encouraged to introduce new components, including performance, installation, sound, text, or other non-traditional or non-visual aspects. The main focus being to experiment with versatility, scaled works, and diverse mediums.

The process culminates in a real-time group exhibition that evolves during the program: a space where experimentation, feedback, and growth are prioritized over perfection.

We are placing priority on projects that incorporate the following elements:
