Property markets and career growth of property professionals in Africa

According to JLL, only South Africa, out of the 18 profiled African countries by JLL in the 2024 global real estate market transparency index has a transparent real estate market. Fifty per cent have opaque markets. This situation affects property practitioners adversely but may also present opportunities. Our interest in this study is to understand how professionals thrive and the challenges constraining professional growth under these market conditions and the role of AI.
