Operis: Shopify & Social Media Virtual Assistant (Retail/Boutique Industry)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Virtual Assistant to support a retail boutique owner with Shopify-related tasks, SEO, landing page creation, and social media calendar management. The client previously transitioned their site to Shopify but experienced a major drop in sales due to poor setup — your job will be to fix that and rebuild momentum.

You’ll be the key to not only resolving their current tech and marketing issues but also helping scale future Shopify store launches.

Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated who can support our clients with efficiency, attention to detail, and proactive communication. You’ll be matched with clients based on your skills and preferences, and be fully supported by our internal SOPs, tools, and training.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): ➡️Shopify product setup, inventory management, and theme edits
➡️SEO implementation and optimization
➡️Build and manage a monthly Social media content scheduling and engagement
➡️Audit and resolve existing Shopify issues (theme, structure, checkout, analytics) ➡️Customer service and inbox handling
➡️Track performance, recommend strategies to drive traffic and increase conversions ➡️Create and publish optimized landing pages ➡️Using AI tools to streamline tasks (ChatGPT, Canva AI, Notion AI, etc.)

Qualifications

➡️Proven experience with Shopify (including store fixes, theme edits, and SEO)

➡️Understanding of landing page tools (e.g., PageFly, GemPages, or native Shopify pages)

➡️Strong background in social media content planning

➡️Excellent English communication skills

➡️Bonus: Experience working with retail or boutique brands

➡️Self-starter who can work independently and proactively solve problems

➡️Familiarity with e-commerce trends and digital sales funnels
