RESIDENCE 25 - late summer application

Residence 25 is an independent and intimate artist residency offering a 3-week stay from September 13th to October 5th, 2025, in a unique modernist house designed by Knud Holscher, nestled in the rural landscape of Rødby, Lolland (Denmark).

The residency provides artists with accommodation, workspace, and a quiet, supportive environment to focus on their practice.

Besides a private bedroom and bathroom, residents will have access to a shared kitchen, small shared studio, shared living areas, shared garden, shared sauna and cargo bike. (The shared spaces are shared with me, your host) Accommodation is fully covered. In return, we simply ask fellows to be respectful of the space and leave a small trace of their time with us, whether it is a poem, a picture, a painting, a small sculpture or a good story.

The program includes: - 1/2 communal dinners (depending on interest and availability)

- a zine publication with an artist feature

- offline podcast recording in collaboration with curious neighbours (for each participating artist) as a contribution to the residence 25 archive. - a goodiebag

- logistic support where needed (fetching materials etc.)

We welcome applications from small-scale artists of all disciplines who are seeking time, space, and inspiration away from the noise. We welcome both individuals or groups/couples/partners of 2.

Selection is based on the submitted materials. In addition to artistic merit, we consider how well an artist’s practice aligns with and may benefit from the residency.

Apply by July 15th to be considered for the 2025 program.

What to expect in the application form:

1. Artist statement

2. CV

3. portfolio (or references to your work) (If you don't have a full fleshed portfolio, that is okay, as long as you can show us some of your work and practice)

4. What you plan on working on during the residency program
5. In what ways do you think Residence 25 can contribute or support to this project or creative goals?
7. How do the residency’s values align with your approach to your goals and/or project?
Note: No worries if you don’t have any concrete ideas yet, a full fletched CV or a fancy portfolio; these questions are just to help us understand the scope of your work and whether the facility can accommodate it and if it aligns with the values of Residence 25.
