Business & Operations Manager
Location: Hybrid (Remote work possible)
Schedule: Must be available on weekends and select weekdays

Unions Bridal Boutique is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Business Operations Manager to lead daily operations and drive our boutique’s continued growth. You’ll manage a tight-knit team, deliver exceptional service to brides-to-be, and wear multiple hats across operations, finance, marketing, and more.
• Hire, train, discipline, and manage a high-performing team; create training materials and share via Slack.
• Hold regular staff and leadership check-ins (weekly during probation, monthly after)
• Ensure daily operations run smoothly—store is clean, stocked, staffed, and open on time (10 a.m.–6 p.m.)
• Handle internal policy updates, staff contracts, uniforms, and enforce accountability
• Oversee customer experience and ensure all clients feel welcomed and supported
• Manage logistics for pickups/deliveries (e.g., gowns from dressmakers or cleaners)
• Plan and execute staff engagement initiatives (quarterly events, birthday gifts)
• Review and sign off on daily to-do lists and weekly inventory counts
• Gather and analyze customer feedback (e.g., surveys, suggestion box) to drive service improvements
• Process payroll and pay vendors on time; ensure compliance with business taxes and licenses
• Manage purchasing and reordering based on inventory counts
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks; complete monthly reconciliations and financial statements
• Assist in annual budgeting and suggest financial strategies to improve margins
• Monitor and reconcile the POS system nightly
• Create and schedule engaging content for social media twice weekly using tools like Canva
• Coordinate marketing shoots with photographers, models, and videographers
• Represent the boutique at wedding shows, in media and bridal events
• Plan and execute seasonal promotions around key retail periods (e.g., anniversaries, holidays, summer sales)
• Run targeted ads on Instagram and Google within the provided budget
• Explore affordable and creative marketing channels—both online and offline
• Keep the store visually aligned with seasonal themes (e.g., Christmas, Easter) through decorations
• Stay current with bridal fashion trends and recommend relevant marketing campaigns
• Propose and test marketing strategies to expand our reach across digital, print, and local media platforms
Additional Areas of Oversight
• Maintenance: Ensure all facilities and equipment are in working condition
• HR: Onboarding, scheduling, and staff documentation
• Fulfillment: Monitor orders, pickups, and special customer request
• Admin: General paperwork, filing, and digital record keeping
• Loss Prevention: Monitor inventory integrity and store security
• Analytics: Track performance metrics and suggest data-driven improvements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a similar (required)
• Experience managing a team of 3+ (retail experience preferred)
• Proven success in a small business or boutique setting is an asset
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized across multiple functions
• Comfortable working weekends and flexible with weekday scheduling
• Must own a reliable vehicle
