Board members are expected to serve on at least one committee and contribute time, expertise, and support toward VOICE’s goals.

How much time can you realistically commit each month to board service?

What areas of the board's work are you most interested in?

Fundraising. Plans and implements fundraising campaigns and events to support VOICE’s mission and financial goals.

Staff Support. Coordinates appreciation efforts and events that foster staff morale and connection with the board.

Outreach. Promotes VOICE’s mission and services through community engagement, events, and public visibility.

Advocacy. Supports policy change and community education by engaging in legislative advocacy and awareness initiatives.

Recruitment. Leads board recruitment, orientation, and development to build a diverse and effective board.

Governance. Maintains board compliance by reviewing bylaws, tracking governance tasks, and supporting orientation and reporting.

Finance. Oversees the organization’s financial health, including budgets, audits, and investment performance.

Once your application is submitted, a member of our recruitment team will follow up with you within approximately 1 week. This may include a conversation to discuss your interests and answer any questions about board service. Interviews may take place by phone, Zoom, or in person.
