Discovering Safety (delivered by the Health and Safety Executive) is conducting research that seeks to understand how the current iteration of the RIDDOR dashboard could be further developed to deliver greater value to the construction industry. We aim to gain insights into the dashboard’s potential benefits, its current usability and functionality, the features you would like to see developed, and how it could support you and your organisation’s operations.
RIDDOR: RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013) requires employers and those in control of work premises to report and keep records of specific workplace incidents, including fatalities, specified injuries, occupational diseases, and dangerous occurrences, to the relevant authorities. The purpose of RIDDOR is to inform the relevant enforcing authority that a work-related accident or incident has happened.
RIDDOR Dashboard: The RIDDOR dashboard visualises all reported instances submitted to the HSE. The dashboard shows anonymised data relating to the work-related fatalities, injuries and occupation diseases reported as well as contextual data.
Insights: When we refer to insight during this survey, we are referring to the value or understanding gained by using the dashboard beyond having the raw data.
