Hola, we’re hosting our first lightning talk of the year, and we would love for you to play a huge part in it. A lightning talk is a very short presentation that lasts for a few minutes; in this case, 5 minutes. So you get 5 minutes to talk about any topic of your choice. The beauty of it is that anyone can give a talk, anyone at all. You don't have to be an expert or have a truckload of experience, none of that. How amazing is that? One of the best things about these lightning talks is that they provide a low-stakes, judgment-free platform to practice your public speaking skills. The 5-minute format takes the pressure off, allowing you to share your passion, test out new ideas, and work on your stage presence in an incredibly supportive environment. The lightning talk would be virtual, and it would be happening on the 31st of October by 6pm WAT. We can only have 8 speakers per session, so we would be selecting the speakers based on topics. The goal is to ensure that we have a diverse set of topics in every session. If you're not selected for the session you signed up for, then you're given priority in the next month's session.
