Data Collection and Usage

HealthKit Data

We request access to specific health data from Apple HealthKit, including:
- Step count
- Active calories burned
- Exercise minutes
- Water intake
This data is used solely to display your fitness metrics and provide personalized insights within the app. We never share your health data with third parties or use it for advertising.

Personal Information

Basic information like your name is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience.

Workout Data

Your workout history, exercise data, and fitness goals are stored and synchronized using iCloud to enable access across your devices.

Data Storage and Security

- Local Storage: Personal settings and preferences are stored securely on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system.
- Cloud Storage: Workout data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework, ensuring your data remains private and secure.
- No Third-Party Servers: We do not store any of your personal or health data on our own servers.

Permissions

FitnessFolio will request permissions for:
- HealthKit access: To read your health and fitness data
- iCloud access: To sync your workout information between devices
- Notifications: To provide workout timers and progress alerts
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your data is used exclusively to provide the functionality of the FitnessFolio app.
