1. When you see yet another “foolproof 10-step success formula” being hyped online, what’s your gut reaction?

Roll my eyes and do the exact opposite. I’m going to blaze my own trail, not follow someone’s cookie-cutter plan.

Take a few pointers if they seem legit, then craft my own strategy from scratch. I’d rather build my own playbook than copy someone else’s.

Consider how it fits into the bigger picture I have in mind. If it doesn’t align with my grand vision, I’m fine ignoring it.

Skim it out of curiosity and maybe test one or two tips. Could be an interesting experiment, but I’m already exploring other ideas anyway.

2. Let’s get real: Why are you actually pursuing entrepreneurship?

Study what went wrong, tweak my creation, and try again. Back to the lab – failure is just feedback for my next iteration.

Absorb the lesson and adapt. Sure it sucks, but it’s just one chapter. I’ll refine the strategy and keep marching toward the big picture.

4. How do you approach a brand-new idea or project?

Jump in headfirst and figure it out on the fly. Who needs a detailed plan? I’d rather make my own rules as I go.

Start sketching or prototyping immediately. I need to get my hands dirty creating something tangible ASAP.

Begin with the end in mind. I visualize the big end goal, then reverse-engineer the steps to reach that outcome.

Do a bit of research, then tinker and experiment. I’ll try a few different angles and see what sticks — the fun is in the exploring.

5. Which of these critiques have you heard about yourself the most?

6. What matters more to you than money in your venture?

Freedom — no amount of cash is worth sacrificing my independence or doing things that don’t feel authentic to me.

Creative fulfillment. I’d rather be proud of what I built than just roll in dough from something soulless.

Making an impact. Seeing my idea change even a small corner of the world means more than any payday.

7. You’re at a fork in the road with a major decision to make. You:

8. How do you honestly feel about risk and uncertainty?

I live for it. The bigger the risk, the more alive I feel – playing it safe is just another form of dying slowly.

9. When it comes to the day-to-day grind of running a business, you:

Despise routine. If things get too comfortable or bureaucratic, you’ll intentionally shake things up.

Can lose yourself in the work. You often get into “flow” working on your product or craft and suddenly hours have flown by.

Manage it, but your mind is usually 5 steps ahead. Mundane tasks are necessary, but you’re constantly thinking about the future.

Switch things up frequently. You structure your day loosely so you can follow your curiosity and not feel stuck doing one thing.

10. Finish this sentence: “I know I’ve succeeded when…”

…I’ve proved all the doubters wrong by doing it on my own terms. Success means I did it my way, and it worked.

…something I created actually improves someone’s life. If I can say “I built that, and it helped people,” that’s success (money is secondary).
