Application for Programs by Effective Altruism South Africa

Thank you for your interest in our programs. We are currently accepting applications for the following courses:

- Introductory Effective Altruism Program: This 6-week programme (June 29th - August 9th) involves 3-4 hours of engagement each week through readings and small-group discussions guided by an experienced facilitator. Learn more here. This program is run by EA South Africa in collaboration with EA UCT, EA Zimbabwe, EA Johannesburg, EA Rwanda, and EA Namibia. Participants from all countries are welcome! Apply by Sunday, 31st May 2026.
- Career Bootcamp: This 4-day programme (22 January - 25 January 2026) 0r (02 February - 05 February 2026). The boot camp will require roughly 1-2 hours of group calls plus 4-6 hours of independent work on structured exercises. The program is about 80% self-guided work - you do the heavy lifting using our frameworks and templates. Facilitators provide personalized feedback on your documents, answer questions when you're stuck, and help you see possibilities you're missing. Learn more here. Apply by Sunday, 18th January 2026 .
- In Depth Effective Altruism Program: This 8-week programme (February 9th - April 15th) involves 3-4 hours of engagement each week through readings and small-group discussions guided by an experienced facilitator. Open to those who have completed the Introductory EA Program or have equivalent EA knowledge. Learn more here. Apply by Sunday, 25th January 2026.
