Optimist Con is a FREE community-oriented comic convention boasting the Chicago's only All-student Artist Alley. The event will take place on July 18th at Columbia College Chicago from 11am-5pm. Our Artist Alley represents the work of over 100 students that participated in Optimist Comics classes during the 25/26 school year. Students will have the opportunity to learn about creative art careers, try their hand a digital art, explore great youth programs that offer exposure to different artistic disciplines and more.
Activities include Panels featuring students as well as industry professionals, a live DJ, hands-on art workshops, a video game center, a cosplay competition, and an Anime Lounge.
