The Maryland Assistive Technology Program's 3D Printing Lab is seeking to hire two interns to support the program's expansion in 2026.
Details:
• 16 week internship, beginning February of 2026
• Approximately 10 hours of work per week
• Hybrid schedule; about 80% remote and 20% onsite at 2301 Argonne Dr. in Baltimore, MD.
• $5,000 stipend provided to each intern upon full completion of the program.
Position duties:
• Create digital marketing materials for promotion of the program and education around 3D printing and assistive technology, with a focus on short-form videos for social media
• Research and design 3D printed assistive technologies to be integrated into the program
• Research, identify and conduct direct outreach to groups of people who may benefit from participation in the program
• Collaborate with program coordinator and participants to design and fabricate custom assistive technology devices for specific individuals
• Troubleshoot issues with printers and printing/CAD processes
Desired Qualifications:
• Some experience with and access to CAD software
• Some experience with disability and assistive technology and/or engineering design
• Comfort with creation of digital content such as short-form videos, graphics and design
• Comfort with working independently/taking initiative
• Must be a Maryland resident
