Study 1 – Everyday Functioning, Regulation, and Daily Life Survey

An exploratory survey conducted as part of the Self-Scaffolding Research Programme.
Welcome

Thank you for taking part in this survey.

Have you ever known how to do something, wanted to do it, but still found it difficult to begin?

Or noticed that something you could manage easily on one day felt much harder on another?

This survey explores experiences like these in everyday adult life.

The survey forms part of an ongoing research programme exploring how everyday functioning can vary across different situations and conditions.

There are no right or wrong answers. Please respond based on your own experiences.

Participation is voluntary, and you may stop at any time.

Your responses are anonymous unless you choose to provide contact details for future research.

Estimated completion time: approximately 7–10 minutes. It may take longer if you choose to answer the optional written questions.

Participant Information

This is an exploratory research survey about everyday functioning, motivation, self-regulation, and the conditions that may make everyday activities easier or more difficult.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked about your everyday experiences, factors that affect your functioning, motivation, overwhelm, recovery, current supports, and support needs. Some optional questions invite you to describe your experiences in your own words.

Participation is voluntary. You may choose not to answer optional questions and may stop completing the survey at any time before submitting your responses.

Some questions may ask you to reflect on experiences of difficulty, overwhelm, diagnosis, or support. You may skip optional questions if you would prefer not to answer them.

This survey is for exploratory research purposes. It is not a diagnostic assessment, psychological test, or treatment, and participation does not provide medical or psychological advice.

Your responses will be used to explore patterns in how adults experience everyday functioning across different situations and conditions.

Responses are anonymous unless you voluntarily provide an email address to be contacted about future research. Any contact information you choose to provide will only be used for that purpose and will not be shared with third parties.
