Mother Wounds Self-Assessment

Created by Linda Nevin | LindaNevin.com

Discover where patterns connected to nurturing, emotional safety, self-worth and receiving may still be influencing your life today.

Mother Wounds are not about blaming your mother or caregivers.

They describe patterns that can form when our early needs for emotional safety, nurturing, attunement or being held were unmet, inconsistent or conditional. They may arise through our personal upbringing, our mother's own unhealed wounds, generational patterns or cultural expectations around care, self-sacrifice and emotional expression.

These patterns can quietly influence how safe it feels to receive love and support, rest, express your emotions, ask for what you need, set boundaries and prioritise yourself. They may also show up as people-pleasing, emotional self-abandonment, hyper-independence or feeling emotionally “on your own” even within relationships.
