The Youth Diplomacy Network: Internship Program

The Youth Diplomacy Network (YDN) Internship Program is a one-month opportunity for high school and university students to gain practical experience within a youth-led international affairs organization.

Interns will work across different departments and initiatives depending on YDN's current needs. Rather than being assigned to one fixed department, interns will form a flexible support team and contribute to projects across areas such as Programs & Events, Publications, Research, External Affairs, Communications, Social Media, and Operations.

Throughout the month, interns may assist with research, event preparation, communications, content development, outreach, administrative tasks, and other projects assigned by YDN's leadership.

Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance, reliability, initiative, and commitment throughout the program may be invited to continue with YDN in a longer-term team position following the completion of their internship.

Commitment: 4 hours per week
Positions available: Up to 10 interns
Format: Remote
Compensation: Volunteer / unpaid
Certificate: Certificate of Completion issued upon successful completion of the internship

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

- Be currently enrolled in high school or university/college

- Be able to dedicate at least 4 hours per week to YDN - Demonstrate strong English proficiency

- Be reliable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines - Be willing to work across different departments and types of projects - Show initiative and a willingness to learn - Be comfortable collaborating remotely with an international team

Previous experience in international affairs, leadership, communications, research, writing, events, or nonprofit work is welcome but not required.
