Join the Re-SearchTerms Contributor Community

Re-SearchTerms is a community-driven project developed in collaboration with FORRT to explore how research concepts are defined across disciplines, languages, and contexts.

This project combines community contributions, multilingual perspectives, and computational tools to support greater conceptual clarity, transparency, and accessibility in research terminology.

We welcome contributors from all backgrounds and career stages, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, educators, researchers, practitioners, and independent scholars worldwide.

You may contribute in one or both of the following tasks:

Task 1: Dataset Curation and Annotation

Submit new definitions and annotate them, or verify and annotate existing definitions within our dataset.
Contributors may:
- Submit new definitions from academic or educational resource - Verify existing definitions - Add annotations and contextual information - Review terminology across different languages and disciplines
Current priority languages: English, German, and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)

Task 2: App Evaluation and Pedagogical Review

Help us improve the education value and usability of the Re-SearchTerms platform.
Contributors will be invited to complete an evaluation report and provide feedback on: - User experience and interface design - Educational applications of the app - Clarity, usefulness, and accessibility of visualisations and features
Feedback reports should be written in English.

Academic Credit and Recognition

Active contributors who complete the required milestones will be invited as co-authors on a collaborative manuscript intended for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.

Authorship and contributor recognition will follow transparent project guidelines and contribution thresholds.

Project communication and announcements primarily take place on Slack.
