GM, HQ LOCATIONS
We're looking for an experienced General Manager to take ownership of our company-owned facilities in greater Cincinnati. You'll manage the day-to-day operations of our locations, represent our brand to our guests and members as well as the local communities in which we operate, lead the opening of additional locations, and provide operational support services to our regional franchise locations.
This is a hands-on, ownership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in operational excellence, and enjoys building strong customer and community relationships.
Another Nine is the ideal indoor golf experience. Founded in Cincinnati in 2023, we built the city's first and only 24/7 indoor golf destination with all private simulator suites. Today, we're expanding nationally through company-owned and franchised locations with 75+ franchise territories in development and a rich development pipeline behind it.
At Another Nine HQ, we're a high-growth startup, backed by franchise experts, powered by our proprietary A9OS platform, and on a mission to create access to the game of golf nationwide. Our unit-level economics are unmatched, our franchise pipeline is accelerating, and we're expanding our team to build the future of indoor golf. In this role, you'll take on the critical role of leading our two company-owned locations, which serve as the flagship example for our franchise locations nationally.
If you have a figure-it-out mentality, take ownership, and have been looking for your chance to make an outsized impact — this is the place for you.
Daily Operations — Own the day-to-day operations and P&L for our company-owned facilities in greater Cincinnati (Columbia-Tusculum and Montgomery), running each like its your own business.
Facility Accountability — Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility needs - upkeep, uptime, maintenance, quality control, issue resolution - keeping every suite guest-ready 24/7.
Maintenance - Coordinate daily cleaning and the occasional contractor. Tackle hands on maintenance yourself: basic repairs like patching and painting, swapping turf and screens, etc.
Represent the Brand - actively participate in the communities in which we operate - representing us at local business associations, neighborhood events, and fostering local business relationships to build awareness and drive visits.
Events - Plan and execute on-site community and customer events that boost engagement and retention, including occasional evening and weekend activations, surprise-and-delight moments for guests, and special events.
Marketing Activation - Execute marketing initiatives from HQ at the facility-level and bring your own ideas forward when you spot opportunities to drive engagement, membership, or experience improvements. Occasionally, support our social media efforts as well.
Own Membership - Foster an engaged membership base year-round, driving membership and event sales, evaluating new local business opportunities as they emerge
Voice of the Guest - Be the conduit between HQ and your guests and members, conduct primary research through guest and member interactions, relay insights, trends, and issues, and deliver the ideal indoor golf experience for every single hour booked.
Project Lead - Serve as the project lead for the buildout and opening of future company-owned facilities; partner with HQ to coordinate construction plans, contractors, vendors, and grand opening activations.
Franchise Support - Support nearby franchise owners with their facility operations on an as needed basis through site visits, first-response issue coordination, and assist with the development of a regional program we'll develop as a franchisor.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE:
2-4 years of experience in operations, hospitality, retail, facilities, or a similarly hands-on, customer-facing role. Multi-unit experience is a plus.
A genuine sense of ownership and pride - you treat this business as if it's your own and sweat the details no one asked you to.
Hands-on handiness - comfortability with basic repairs (patching, painting, cleaning, equipment fixes) without waiting on someone else.
Proactivity and urgency - we only have one chance to make a first impression. Address issues before they become one and act rapidly to make it right when they do arise.
Professional, responsive communication. Strong customer support and relationship-building skills. The polish to represent the brand publicly yet approachable and relatable to engage daily with our members and guests.
Comfort with ambiguity and the rapid pace of an early stage company - you'll be supported, but don't need a playbook because you'll help to write it.
Willingness to be available during evenings and weekends, on occasion, as events and guest needs arise.
Reliable transportation and the ability to work on the go.
NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED:
Multi-unit, hospitality, fitness/club, golf, or franchise operations experience.
A track record of planning and running community or membership-based events
Comfort creating social content and being on camera (while golfing)
An interest and passion (but not necessarily skill) for the game of golf - you'll have unlimited access to indulge it!
$70,000 - $80,000 annually in base compensation; dependent on experience
Performance-based bonus eligibility
Unlimited PTO with manager's discretion
Employer-sponsored healthcare

Location: This position is located in Cincinnati, OH. While you'll predominantly work onsite from our facilities, you'll also have a seat at our HQ in Covington, KY at SparkHaus.
Reporting: this position reports to the COO
Schedule: primarily business hours Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend commitments for events, facility needs, and guest moments.
Travel Expectations: Occasional, regional visits to other Another Nine locations. Reliable personal transportation required, with regular travel between both company-owned locations and HQ, as well as periodic local travel for events.
OUR COMMITMENT TO APPLICANTS
Let's be real - life at an early-stage company is different. One day you might be patching a wall after an errant tee shot and the next you might be representing Another Nine at a community forum or leading a group of prospective franchisees through a tour of the facility. Change and ambiguity are guaranteed (as is the excitement that comes along with it) - that might not be for everyone, and we totally get it.
But, if that sounds exciting to you, we encourage you to apply. We're looking for people that will thrive in this fast-paced environment.
In our review process, we'll be fair, equitable, but also direct. It's because we move fast and value time - yours and ours.
We've been intentional about building our team from day one - in how we designed our values, policies, and who we invite to join the team. We value our team as people. We value diversity of thought. We value human connection. And we value going further together. We relentlessly pursue our outcomes but we never lose sight of the people making it happen.
Sound good to you? Can't wait to hear why.
