Designed for senior leaders of K-12 Christian schools, The Change Institute is for you if you are...
1. Currently leading through significant organizational change, disruption, crisis, resistance, or uncertainty.
2. Trying to build greater shared ownership of change with your community.
3. Longing to learn from and with other Christian school leaders and not simply listen to another leadership webinar.
4. Feeling the weight of leading change and wanting to be faithful to the calling God has placed on your life.
5. Needing practical tools grounded in network science to lead change faithfully, rather than simply importing corporate change-management models into your Christian school context.
Because change doesn't wait until we are ready. Christian school leaders are navigating disruption, resistance, competing expectations, and an increasingly complex leadership landscape that requires networked-solutions.
The Change Institute equips you to lead faithfully when things don't go according to plan. You'll leave with practical tools, theological insights, and a stronger network of peers to help you lead change with greater clarity and faith.
📅 Date & Time: Tuesdays, 3:15-4:30 PM PDT.
Session 1: Lead from change (September 22): Before you can lead change in your community, you must first recognize and take hold of how God has changed you. Change leadership begins with formation, so we will examine your story, identity, and the ways God has shaped you. You will document your story of change and use a diagnostic tool to discern the current context and readiness of your community for disruption. You will leave with a clearer understanding of who you are becoming as a leader and what your community may need next.
Session 2 : Lead through networks (October 20): Your most valuable change infrastructure may already exist in the relationships around you. God forms and sustains us through community and relationships, and change spreads through human connectivity. You will use an organizational dynamics framework to map your network and examine patterns of trust, influence, connection, and shared ownership so that change endures in people and not just in programs.
Session 3: Lead with resistance (November 17): God's discernment begins with listening before reacting. Resistance can reveal where an organization has become stuck, declined, or in need of renewal. You will learn to distinguish resistance from rebellion and interpret what resistance may be revealing about your community. You will leave with resistance-training practices for harnessing resistance as a productive force for renewal rather than simply something to overcome or avoid all together.
