Registration to 5-week series of Decolonizing the Work

Decolonizing is long overdue. Yet, when we get close to it, it can seem like mining the bedrock with bear hands. It is easy to abandon or stay on the conceptual thinking of it. Colonialism and supremacy live all around us and inside us, not by choice but by design; through the harm we cause and through the harm we suffer.

This is an invitation to support each other on the journey of decolonizing our mind, body, and heart. Together, we aim to sustain discomfort and uncertainty, bolster courage and compassion, strengthen our solidarity and our contribution to collective liberation.

We will honestly examine our response to the challenges of living in times of live streamed genocides, overt racism and hate, fascism, militarism and international double-standard laws, blatant propaganda, and accelerated rate of the destruction of life on Earth. We will be working on how to avoid replicating tools of the dominant system, moving beyond performative action and care, centering underrepresented voices, and leaning into the collective.

About me: I am a Somatic coach and a facilitator of the Work That Reconnects and Good Grief Network. After more than 25 years in banking, social programs, and climate activism, I sensed a strong need for individual and collective healing. My work now aims to support people and groups seeking agency, courage, resilience, and deep transformation. Focused on the intersectionality of the polycrisis with colonialism, patriarchy, and oppression, I bridge my attention between bearing witness to the current genocides and planting seeds for the future. Moroccan, Muslim animist, and mother, I recently relocated to ancestral Marrakesh with family.
