We’re looking for local business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, educators, and community leaders to serve as judges for Tampa’s Young Entrepreneurs Business Fair – Holiday Edition! Our judges play an important role in making the experience exciting and meaningful for our young entrepreneurs. As a judge, you’ll visit participating booths, talk directly with the children about their businesses, learn about their ideas and products, and help recognize their creativity, effort, presentation, and entrepreneurial skills. No professional judging experience is required! We’re looking for encouraging individuals who are excited to support and celebrate Tampa’s next generation of entrepreneurs.
Our judges will help select winners in the following categories:
🎨 Most Creative Booth
Recognizes a young entrepreneur who created an eye-catching, creative, and memorable booth display.
⭐ Best Branding
Recognizes strong and consistent branding, including the business name, logo, signage, packaging, and overall presentation.
🤝 Best Customer Experience
Recognizes a young entrepreneur who demonstrates excellent communication, friendliness, confidence, product knowledge, and customer interaction.
🛍️ Best Handmade Items
Recognizes creativity, craftsmanship, originality, and effort in handmade products.
🧁 Best Treats & Food Vendor
Recognizes creativity, presentation, branding, and the overall concept of a young entrepreneur's food or treat business.
Our goal is to make judging a positive and encouraging experience for every child. Judges should visit their assigned booths, speak directly with the children, ask encouraging questions, and evaluate participants using provided criteria. Judges should avoid judging businesses solely based on sales or revenue, keep scores confidential, and encourage the children throughout the experience.
📸 Photography & Event Promotion
Photos and videos may be taken throughout the event for event-related marketing, social media, website, and promotional purposes. By participating as a judge, you understand that you may appear in event photographs or videos.
