Burley in Wharfedale Accessibility and Inclusion Consultation

Burley in Wharfedale is growing and changing, and we want to make sure every resident, of every age, background, ability and neurotype, can take part in village life, feel welcome and access the spaces and services they need.

This consultation has been created by the Burley Accessibility and Inclusion Steering Group, made up of local residents, volunteers and partners from across the village.

Our aim is to understand what matters most to you so we can shape practical improvements that support accessibility, inclusion, social connection, cultural belonging and community life.

To make sure we hear from everyone, we’re especially interested in experiences related to disability, neurodiversity, sensory needs, culture, language and family life. We want Burley to be a place where people feel comfortable whether they prefer chatty social spaces or quiet, low-sensory environments.

This is not a test or a formal assessment; it’s simply a chance for you to tell us what works well, what’s difficult, and what would make the biggest difference for you or your family.

Your answers are confidential. We will not collect your name unless you choose to share it, and we will not publish any personal details.

All responses will be combined and reported anonymously.

We follow UK GDPR guidelines and only use your feedback to help improve village accessibility, inclusion and community life.
