Social media has the power to bring awareness to issues and can be a powerful way to engage in discussions at a scope that would not be possible offline. In a short-form TikTok style video, we want your hot take on the issue of informed consent for children within religious organizations and/or high control groups.
By sharing your take, we hope to provide an educational experience for viewers while also promoting a relatable atmosphere to the an otherwise deeply traumatic and often painful experience.
The video should be no more than 15-30 seconds long. Please record a vertical video in a place where your face is fully lit and your voice is clear and easy to hear. Provide adequate space above your head so a relatable title can be added.
Your video will not be edited beyond its original intent. Subtitles and a logo may be added for branding and readability. If approved, the video will be posted on the dedicated social channels of The Bathwater Project (Instagram, TikTok, etc.). At any point, you can request for your video to be removed if you may wish.
Please avoid mentioning the specific religion, denomination, or organization by name and focus on your experience, feelings, or the broader idea you want to share.
