Share Your IC Story <3

Introduction

Thank you for being here. My dream is to slowly build a thoughtful collection of real stories and reflections that help women feel more seen, less isolated, and reminded that they are not alone.
I remember especially when I was first diagnosed, my world felt like it was completely over at the age of 22. Now 7 years later, I've healed a LOT more than I thought was possible, and I think a big part of this is letting other warriors out there know that we are in this together.
Thank you for being here and taking the time to help me with this project!

Share your IC Story

You can write as much or as little as you want. This does not need to be polished or perfectly written. Because some of these stories may be shared in a spoken video format, parts may be shortened while preserving your core meaning and emotion.

What do you wish you would have known about IC earlier in your journey?

This could be emotional, practical, physical, or anything else. Here's some prompts in case you get stuck: - something you misunderstood about your body or symptoms at first
- something that would have made things less overwhelming
- something you wish someone had told you sooner
- something you spent too long blaming yourself for

What helped you keep going through the hardest parts?

This doesn't have to be a huge breakthrough or even a "success story". Sometimes it's: - a person
- a mindset shift
- a tiny moment of hope
- feeling believed

If someone listening feels scared, isolated, or hopeless right now because of their IC diagnosis, what would you want to say to them?

Imagine speaking to a version of yourself during the hardest part of your journey. What would you want to hear?

Would you feel comfortable with parts of your story being shared publicly to help other women feel less alone?
