🚀 BE PART OF OUR SPECIAL TIME CAPSULE TO MARK 50 YEARS OF THE VOYAGER & ITS GOLDEN RECORD!
In 1977, a small group of scientists and creatives working on the Voyager Golden Record had to decide what sounds, music and imagery to send to space to represent our planet. Now, we want to hear and see what you would send!
Our world has changed quite a bit since 1977! (understatement!) What sounds, messages or imagery would you chose to represent our planet and our civilisation today? Think as locally, globally, creatively or scientifically as you want!
📝🎵🖼️ Tell us briefly what you think or upload a file below. It could be a piece of music or a song that you love (or that you've composed), a photo, a drawing, a message of some sort....anything you think could be understood by the interstellar being that would find it!
WHEN WILL WE SEE THE TIME CAPSULE?
On August 20th, 2027, the exact 50th anniversary of the first Voyager launch, we will open our new Golden Record together to see what you and all your fellow earthlings have created!
You will receive an email with a secret link to our time capsule so we can celebrate that momentous day together.
🔟 For uploads, the file size limit is 10 MB so you may need to compress photos or music. ( please don't include links to private cloud storage, e.g. Google drive, Dropbox etc.. YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify links are fine! 😆)
