1. Welcome to EcoTip

EcoTip is a digital platform that connects customers who need non-hazardous waste services with independent collectors like you.

You remain self-employed or operating as your own business.

EcoTip does not employ collectors and does not transport or handle waste.

This agreement explains how we work together fairly and professionally.

2. What You Need To Work With Us

You must have:

2.1 A valid Waste Carrier Registration (Upper Tier)

2.2 A suitable vehicle for non-hazardous waste

2.3 A valid ID and proof of address

2.4 Public Liability Insurance (recommended)

2.5 Ability to provide disposal receipts from authorised waste facilities

Collectors are responsible for complying with all applicable waste, environmental and safety regulations required in their operating region.

3. Accepting Jobs

3.1 When offered a job, you must accept or decline within 15 minutes

3.2 You may also receive quote requests without receiving the job

This is normal—EcoTip gets multiple quotes and assigns the best fit

3.3 After accepting, you must review the job information before travelling

3.4 If you become unavailable after accepting, notify EcoTip immediately

4. Confirming the Job On-Site

4.1 Before touching waste, you must upload clear photos via WhatsApp or email showing:

• What waste is present

• Estimated quantity

• Any risks or access issues

4.2 Do not proceed until EcoTip confirms the job and price

4.3 If the waste is different, heavier, or greater volume, you must request a re-quote via EcoTip

4.4 If you suspect anything hazardous — stop immediately and inform EcoTip

Hazardous waste is strictly prohibited through EcoTip

5. Keeping The Marketplace Moving

5.1 You must remain reachable while on active jobs

EcoTip will reassign jobs if communication is lost

5.2 No repeat declines or non-responses — this may lead to account suspension

5.3 Discrimination against any customers is not tolerated

5.4 You must act professionally at all times — customers are EcoTip’s partners

6. Pricing, Platform Commission & Re-Quote Procedure

6.1 EcoTip may obtain one or more quotes from Collectors before assigning a job.

6.2 Collectors may receive quote requests without receiving the final job assignment. EcoTip may compare multiple quotes and assign the most suitable option based on pricing, availability, service requirements, customer preferences, operational requirements, and other relevant factors.

6.3 EcoTip charges a commission on completed jobs. The commission is included within the customer price and will be communicated as part of the job details provided to the Collector.

6.4 Collectors must provide accurate pricing based on the information supplied by EcoTip and notify EcoTip immediately if additional information is required before quoting.

6.5 Re-Quote Procedure

Where a job materially differs from the information, photographs, quantity, access conditions, or other details originally provided, the Collector must immediately notify EcoTip and request a revised quote before any material work proceeds.

6.6 No material work may commence until EcoTip has reviewed the discrepancy and confirmed whether:


• The original quote remains valid; or


• A revised quote is required.

6.7 Where a revised quote is required, the Collector must provide:


• Updated pricing


• Updated availability (if affected)


• Any attendance or call-out fees


• Any cancellation implications


• Any refund implications

6.8 EcoTip will communicate any revised terms to the customer before further work proceeds.

6.9 Collectors must provide disposal receipts, waste transfer documentation, or other evidence of lawful disposal where required for the job.

6.10 Failure to provide required disposal evidence may result in delayed payment, withheld payment, suspension, or removal from the platform.

7. Payments

7.1 All payments are processed through EcoTip unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7.2 Payment arrangements may vary depending on the job, customer requirements, Collector requirements, supplier requirements, and selected quote option.

7.3 Payment structures may include:


• EcoTip Standard Payment Model


• Deposit Payments


• Full Upfront Payments


• Staged Payments


• Invoice-Based Payments


• Other agreed payment arrangements

7.4 Collectors will be notified when a quote has been accepted and any required customer payment has been received before work commences.

7.5 EcoTip does not advance its own funds to Collectors. All payments to Collectors are made from customer funds received by EcoTip.

7.6 Where a job requires a deposit, upfront payment, staged payment, or invoice arrangement, the applicable terms will be communicated before work begins.

7.7 Collectors must promptly communicate any attendance fees, revised pricing requirements, cancellation implications, or refund implications that may apply if a job materially differs from the information originally provided.

7.8 Collectors must not request or accept direct payment from customers unless expressly authorised by EcoTip in writing.

7.9 Bank details must match your identity or registered business.

7.10 You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, accounting obligations, and business compliance.

8. Liability & Compliance

8.1 You are fully responsible for the waste once collected

8.2 Any illegal disposal or fly-tipping will result in:

• Permanent removal from the platform

• Reporting to the relevant authorities

8.3 EcoTip is not responsible for fines, seizures, or legal action caused by collector misconduct

8.4 You must comply with all applicable waste laws and licensing requirements in your operating region.

9. Data Protection & Confidentiality

9.1 EcoTip collects only what is necessary to manage jobs and payments

9.2 Your data will never be sold to third parties

9.3 Even after leaving EcoTip, you must keep all customer information confidential

10. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or remove access for:

• Misconduct or rudeness

• Illegal or hazardous waste activities

• Repeated non-response to jobs

• Fraud or false information

• Customer safety concerns

You may request account closure at any time.

11. Governing Law 
This Agreement is governed by the applicable laws of the region where the Collector provides services through the platform.

12. Agreement & Signature

By signing below, you confirm that:

• You understand this Agreement

• You are legally authorised to collect and transport waste

• You agree to follow EcoTip rules and waste law

• You remain fully responsible for proper disposal

• You are not an employee of EcoTip
