WAREHOUSE PICK PACKER (Casual, Abbotsford, VIC)

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Pick Packer on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and packaging products for online orders, ensuring that all items are picked efficiently and with a high level of attention to detail. This role requires physical agility, organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a well-organised warehouse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Order Picking: Accurately pick products from designated shelves or storage areas based on order sheets, ensuring correct quantities and varieties are selected.

•Quality Control: Perform visual checks to ensure the quality and condition of products prior to packaging and address any discrepancies or defects appropriately. •Packaging: Carefully and efficiently pack items in appropriate packaging materials, following guidelines for product protection and shipping requirements.

•Labelling: Affix correct labels and shipping documentation to packages, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of shipments. •Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by updating stock levels and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.

•Organisation: Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and hazard-free, following safety guidelines and maintaining a conducive work environment. •Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, collaborating to meet daily order fulfilment targets and resolve any issues.

•Adherence to Procedures: Follow established company procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining the integrity of the products. •Efficiency Improvement: Suggest process improvements and contribute to streamlining warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE High school certificate or equivalent

Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment is a desired, but not required. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects weighing up to 10 kilos. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Familiarity with inventory management systems or software is beneficial. Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends, as per business needs.
