Calling all Volunteers ! Are you interested in managing and organizing our open meetups? This is your chance to shine!
As a volunteer for the GearOn Meetups, your responsibilities include managing ticket checking at the lounge entry and ask participants for mandatory registration at DevX reception desk and don't allow participants without GearOn registrations and ticket (In case there's a genuine case, check their LinkedIN ID and allow them on the spot assessment if required), assisting and coordinating the session leader with activities and tasks during the event, and ensuring the session flows smoothly by keeping track of time and signalling the leader if there are any constraints. You will also be responsible for monitoring participants' behaviour and reporting any issues to DevX security if necessary. Additionally, you'll ensure that GearOn and sponsor videos are running properly, and that any place cards or promotional materials are correctly positioned throughout the venue. You can take part in the networking parallel but make sure everything is going according to the GearOn format, that will be shared to you and take videos and photographs through out the session.
