Geek Sessions Conf 2026 Community Map

In 2026, Geek Sessions is launching the The Community Map, an exhibition space dedicated to the communities, people, and projects shaping our ecosystem.

This form is an open call for projects and community initiatives to be part of the Community Lounge exhibition at IPDJ, open for 3 weeks and during the conference days.

About The Community Map

The Community Map is an exhibition space hosted at IPDJ, open for 3 weeks, with the inauguration on March 13th.

During the GeekSessions Conf in 21st of March, the space allow communities to hang out, meet new people, and connect.

Our vision is to create:
• A map of communities in the Algarve ecosystem
• A small curated set of projects (tech, art, games, movements, innovative actions for social/civic/environment impact) that showcase what technology actually means in community
• A space that reflects what active participants are doing and why our region is vibrant • A digital interactive map
The projects we will showcase can be things you've done just for fun or volunteered to do, gatherings, art, books, tech, 3d printing, sustainability etc. If your project is for-profit, it should have a clear community angle, innovative/creative or positive impact.
How we are showcasing your project We will show an image or photo of your project in our map, along with a description, information and links.
If you have any questions, drop us a message at geeksessions@gmail.com 💛
Submission deadline: February 28th
